Giorgios Hospitality Group Tapped as Restaurant Partner for Wrightsville Beach’s Premier Waterfront Destination, The Commodore Club
[Wilmington, NC, November 21, 2022] – “Restauranteur of the Year” Giorgios Bakatsias of Giorgios Hospitality Group will lead the Commodore Club’s multi-faceted food and beverage program, opening in Wrightsville Beach, NC in 2024.
The Commodore Club at Wrightsville Yacht Club is an exclusive, floating restaurant coming to the Wrightsville Beach Marina. Perfectly situated on the Intracoastal Waterway, just over the bridge from Wilmington in Wrightsville Beach, the Commodore Club will be built on a two-story barge and will welcome members arriving by car and boat for unmatched views and outstanding hospitality. “The Commodore Club will be the premiere waterfront social club and dining experience in the Cape Fear region. We’ve partnered with the Giorgios Hospitality Group to fulfill our mission to offer an exceptional hospitality experience to our members,” said Brad Matthews, President of the Commodore Club Board of Directors.
“We’ve fallen in love with the Wilmington community and the opportunity to bring Giorgios Hospitality Group to the coast,” explained Bakatsias, the founder of GHG, which opened Kipos Hellenic Cuisine in September 2022 at Lumina Station in Wilmington. “We have an exciting food, beverage and interior design plan underway for the Commodore Club, which will be the most spectacular new waterfront dining destination on North Carolina’s coast.” This new restaurant concept will feature the highest quality meats and seafood, served in a spectacular venue.
The Commodore Club will offer a world class dining experience with three separate dining areas. The main dining room will offer panoramic views of the Intracoastal. The umbrellaed terrace will serve as a more casual extension of the main dining room, for dining on the water. The upstairs cocktail bar will feature luxury lounge seating indoors and out, as well as a private room.
